Design Challenge
First Design Challenge
Determine which MS symptoms our participant has and how these affect their daily life. Find an effective and creative way to design a product that serves as a solution or aid to regain a sense of normalcy in the participant's life.
This design challenge was created to guide us before we meet the participant and learn more about what their condition is and what exactly is their symptoms
Second Iteration of the Design Challenge
Our design challenge is to create a glove that compensates for the physical limitation that our participant has which makes them unable to use traditional gloves due to the lack of motor skills in their hand and the absence of the sense of touch in her hand
This is how the design challenge changed after learning about the participants symptoms and interview them and about their current complications in their life
Third and Final Iteration
The design challenge is to create a glove that the participant can guide their fingers directly into the glove’s finger holes, that can be enclosed afterwards to look nearly indistinguishable from ordinary gloves. Additionally, the gloves should also be accompanied with a mechanism that allows the glove to be steadily fixed to the handle of the participant’s e-bike.
This is the last iteration of the design challenge after making several prototypes and getting more In depth specification on the requirements for the design of the glove
